Re: Quincunx
I was going to comment on the usage of quincunx in astronomy/astrology, but see that someone already has. this aspect between planets in a chart is not considered favorable by astrologers. the only place i'd ever seen this word before now was in astrology books.

Re: Jejune
another word with the same root:
The jejunum is the middle segment of the small intestine found between the duodenum and the ileum. Most of the nutrients present in food are absorbed by the jejunum before being passed on to the ileum for further absorption.

Re: Charisma
yes, i am familiar with the "noir" genre, and that thought did cross my mind, but i could not imagine how it related to my post. thank you for your houdini-worthy explanation, though, for which i will give you the benefit of the doubt. is this the most controversy ever seen on this website...

Re: Charisma
i think our country has been seriously divided politically for years, not just in this election cycle. 2008 and 2012 seemed to bring the haters out of the woodwork. i personally don't like to see religion politicized so much. the puritans came here to "purify" their religion from the crown...

Re: Heresy
i catch myself doing that sometimes: typing along and using a similar-sounding word instead of the one i intended. it happens and can be embarrassing if you don't catch it before you publish it.

this reminded me of my brother describing the son of the owner of the company he worked for, who was tall and good looking and didn't do much more than meet and greet customers.
they called him the "hood ornament."
LOL
