When you are driving a 'left' arrow means 'go left', a 'right' arrow means 'go right'. Usually an 'up' arrow means 'go ahead', but a 'down' arrow doesn't mean 'go back'. Not that I've seen any of these on the road, unless they are pointing at a hole.

As mentioned in the notes, it doesn't even have a plural. So if you see 'penances' they are not aware of the correct grammar.

A paddock is a much larger fenced off area where you can graze sheep, cattle, horses, etc. while a corral is much smaller and used to muster livestock. It is more like a holding yard.

The hacker in computer terms is someone who is very smart at what they do. They are really experts in the field and computer literate in every sense of the word. I would suspect that they come from an IT background or are very well self taught.
