Some are élan and others plain elan (or is that just a slip?). The SAS train in Elan Valley, South Wales, not that I would be able to keep up! Or you could go for a ride with Emma Peel in her Lotus Elan — now made by Kia, of all people!
Inspiring?
— Always Garzo.

My dictionary shows only élan:Some are élan and others plain elan (or is that just a slip?).
I assume élan[sup]2[/sup] comes from definition 1(a) of élan[sup]1[/sup].élan[sup]1[/sup] 1. (a) Spring, bound, dash, standing jump, running jump. (b) dash (as in dashing). (c) impetus. 2. Burst, outburst (of feeling, etc.)
élan[sup]2[/sup] Elk, moose.
Inspiring is the wrong word for a ride with the infatuating Mrs. Peel of my misspent youth.
Tantalizing is probably more appropriate.
