A friend of mine that often suffered from ansomia until he had a sinus operation had invited my wife and I to dinner (togetehr with his wife as well). We were having a wonderful meal in a tiny restaurant that specialized in home made fresh pasta, when he asked his wife: "Nadine, will you taste my food and tell me if I'm enjoying myself?"
"Time is nature's way of keeping everything from happening all at once. Lately it hasn't been working."

That reminds me, way back in the 60's I used to have olfactory hallucinations, each breath brought a new scent (mostly noisome) Now I have nearly completely lost my sense of smell except for the malodorous, funny thing is I lost my sense of taste nearly five years ago, but the smeller left the building during a bad bout (twice in three months) of flu, last year.
