Feckless

Postby Slava » Tue Oct 17, 2006 7:54 am

Recently used in an interview with George Bush. I vote we bring its antonym to life; feckful.

After the debate they repaired to the refecktory for a celebratory lunch. The press were steered clear of defecktors from the party line to avoid infeckting the public with heretical views.

In a prepared statement, the opposing candidate denounced the photo-op as a cheap "coattails effeckt" at wooing votes from the disaffeckted.

Hey, this place is getting pretty dull again, even with all the [obvious] feckful 'puns'.
Someone needs to liven up the place, get really funny, so, Perry,Gail, Sluggo here it is .... say something funny already, let's go crazy making fun puns and silly sayings.

I'll pick a topic, ok I got it; animal names of things, like a foxy girl with feckles and a PONY tail...

I know this sounds fishy just don't go being slothful...

Actually, you and Gail did very well in the floridthread. I give you a literary reference (and it is one very dear to my heart) and you two out-foxed me.

About that, Perry: I haven't read much Wodehouse, so I'm unfamiliar with skivvying foxes. Is that a British English usage or did he mean chivvying?

-gailr
who now wonders if chivvy is a possible etymology for shiv.

I think that I had a brain fart. But it's lucky for you that I did. Chivvying would have provided much less grist for your pun mill.
