Three vampires walk into a bar.
The first vampire says, "Gimme a pint of blood."
The second vampire says, "Gimme a pint of blood."
The third vampire says, "I will have a glass of plasma."
The bartender says, "Right, two bloods and a blood light."
Why don't ghosts tell lies?
Because you can always see right through them.

The spelling Hallowe'en, I ween, is becoming all but archaic
I'm keeping it as my favoured spelling.
Would be short for Hallow Evening, no?
btw why isn't ween in the AlphaDictionary? There's a suggestion.
pps Gail, nice new duds! Not just 'til All Saints' Day I trust...

A bit late, but:
Why don't skeletons go bunjee jumping?
No guts!
(I think I got that from Agoraphile)

Even later for Hallowe'en, but today while working with an audio system set up by (horrors!) someone else-- and finding a vast array of microphones arranged in a perfectly counterintuitive anti-clockwise pattern , I was reminded of the wonderful word Widdershins, and thought I'd recruited a candidate for GoodWords, but apparently it was already done (and graduated) a year ago. Nevertheless, in honour of the day and the word itself I humbly return it to the fold, if not the front page...
The ever-irrepressible Wiki (every time I type that abbreviation I hear Lucille Ball's voice) shows a great discussion of clockwise with links to supination and pronation, chirality, handedness, etc.
Widdershins' opposite is deasil (DEE-sil, "sunwise"). If I owned a gas station it could get real interesting.
