Wow...the only odd meaning I knew was the seagull one...

He's mewing now that we've mewed him with pews in the mew! Whew!

A couple pics of The Royal Mews are here (the well-heeled tenants have four 'heels' each, though). I've been to Paddington Station, but did not get as far as the Mews.
