Anyone who was there for sure remembers it! It does seem like yesterday. At the time I was about 100 miles east (downwind) of it near Yakima. An incredible couple of weeks followed. Things I'll never forget like seeing multi-colored flame in the clouds and multi-directional lightning. We got about 9 inches of powdery ash that feel so heavily that that it was night for nearly two days. Was it really 25years ago? I vividly remember it. what was breakfast again? It seems like yesterday although I would probably not remember then!
