Remembered an old 10-15 minute nightly radio spot on our local station back when AM was king...it was called "The Levity Limelight"--lots of local jokes.
Was interested in where limelight came from--a little surprising to me that lime was actually involved...but, then, I'm easily surprised.
Limelight
And lemon-light just didn't have the right ring to it.Yes, the result of endless blind experimentation. Previously, grapefruit, pomegranites and uglyfruit had been tried. All worked well but just didn't roll off the tongue as well as this one.
