I was considering the number of words we have lifted from geometry and put to good use as metaphors and this is one. Another obtuse. Square. Anyone else?

I wonder how many of these possibilities actually come from geometry. Perhaps they are simply shared analogies?

Oblique seems to have two pronunciations: obleek and oblike.
