exalt, exaltation

Postby William Hupy » Fri May 16, 2014 8:37 am

This is from the Latin, literally for up high. Except for the latter being used in reference to the Exaltation of Jesus, this word is rarely used. Is this because we have so few events or people to exalt?

Probably because we have or pretend to have an egalitarian society. I remember reading of exalted rulers in Eastern lands and some societies.

Does our egalitarian society allow us to have an exaltation of larks?
