I had not heard this one until today, but it does seem very much to be in use.

This looks like a fun one. For a couple of reasons. It's roots are uncommon, being a nice mix of Provencal, Italian, French, and Venetian. And it sounds like a nice epithet, too, if you use the noun form.

(Yes, I know Provencal has a tail on the c, but I don't feel like scrounging around for it just now.)
