supple

Postby William Hupy » Thu Mar 19, 2015 9:11 am

Does anyone use this word in the sense of its original connotation, as in, submissive? Is it still used in that sense? To me, this is more in the vein of being physically flexible as opposed to the pejorative.

Only heard and read "supple" as applying to the body, as a supple gymnist.

And if one is looking for a thin branch to use as a switch, a supple one would be best.
