does anyone have any insight into the etymology of "drey"?

Not the foggiest, but a great word to know. Thanks! Having added a layer to the lining of my vocabulary nest I can now bedazzle everyone with my erudition of squirrel terminology. Now all I have to do is find an excuse to use it, and remember it in time.
