Well, I'm sure most of us know that someone from Glasgow is a Glaswegian, you're a Briton if from Britain, a New Yorker if from New York City or State, and so on and so forth.
But what do people call you if you're from Truth or Consequences, New Mexico? Or DISH, Texas? (Both real places.) Or any of the myriad other oddly names places in America?
Answers and pile-ons welcome!

Life is like playing chess with chessmen who each have thoughts and feelings and motives of their own.

The Albuquerque Journal says "Truth or Consequences resident . . . ." and "[John Doe] of Truth or Consequences"

Our neighboring city is Garland, Texas. We call it's denizens
Garpeople. Garland is the home of Kraft Miracle Whip, LeAnn Rimes and “King of the Hill.” Miracle Whip is manna compared to mayonnaise. LeAnn Rimes was a very famous country singer who made the mistake of switching to pop. Now nobody knows who she is. Garland is the model for the fictitious Arlen, Texas, the home of the King of the Hill, a discontinued, animated TV program.

Perhaps you could play with Garland a bit. Treat it as England, Finland, or Poland. That way you end up with Garish.
