New Orleans dialect/slang

Postby Perry Lassiter » Thu Dec 11, 2014 12:08 am

Someone posted this on Facebook. It's pretty accurate, but be sure to read the extended comments...

It also reminded me that every place I've been has picked up localisms. My wife is from Frankfort, KY. and they're always talking about Devil's Holler and up in Evergreen. And they've got Derby Pie and KY hot brown, which may be the best sandwich in the world, though you eat it with a fork.

Perry, I do believe something rather important is missing from your post. Can you guess what it is?

I second Slava's question. Where is the item? I love NO dialects/slang/accents. Note the plural.

I thought I did. Now I can't find it. Will repost when I discover it.
