Hi all,
I'm currently making a website on Dutch grammar for Chinese. It's quite a modest little thingie, but i'm wondering about a few things:
1. Which encoding should i use?
- I must say that apart from the term 'encoding', i hardly know a thing about all the possibilities. Is there a kind of hierarchy, or are all the codes incompatible with each other?
- I don't know if it matters, but i'm mainly using simplified characters, and once in a while traditional ones (for titles of some books and dictionaries etc.).
2. I'm wondering how the instructions can be translated, i mean things like:
view > character encoding > utf-8 (or "Chinese simplified GB2312", etc.)
Many thanks in advance for suggestions.
Groetjes,
Frank

Well, this one's over 4 years old and obviously no one here had a clue. I wonder what became of the site?
I have to admit to a nice little frisson of pleasure in reading the line, "quite a modest little thingie." Fun, that.
