Census

Postby Slava » Sat Jan 23, 2010 9:33 pm

As this is a census year, perhaps it behooves us to contemplate this wee word.
Life is like playing chess with chessmen who each have thoughts and feelings and motives of their own.

Speaking of hooves, I wonder what other forms of transport will be used in this endeavor?

It is amazing how many things I remember here on the
thread: my grandmother used to say "you be hoofing
off home,now, hear". Love it.

Lots of advertisements about false census takers coming
to one's door.

All we have to do is tell them how many people live at
the address, all the rest is voluntary.
Other than an auto parked at the end of a street,
I suppose hooves are the only way to do it. Sort of
clumsy on a bicycle, unless one has a basket for the
clipboard or whatever is used.
