Would we be able to say that the Mass Media are accused of being iconoclastic in the reporting on the Catholic Church's child abuse scandal?

I tend to think of EWTN as the real "Mass Medium."... Would we be able to say that the Mass Media are accused of being iconoclastic in the reporting on the Catholic Church's child abuse scandal?
