Phthisic (adj) wasting away. (This tongue-tier comes from the Greek phthinein, 'to waste away')

An interesting word. Thank you to KatyBr.

It appears it's mostly related to lung problems, and can even refer to a cough.

Anyone care to come up with ways to use it?
