Guinea Fowl

Best wishes to all the American Alpha Agorans for a wonderful Thanksgiving. I recently learned that the bird we North Americans refer to as ''turkey'' originally named the guinea fowl. The two birds are, in fact, distinct. The turkey is native to North America and the guinea fowl is native to Africa.

The wild turkey also almost became the bird of the nation. It lost out to the Bald Eagle. Now it's just a booze. I use it in egg nog.
