incredulity

Postby uncronopio » Sun Jul 10, 2005 9:56 pm

Reviving the concept of skepticism, but without the ten pages of discussion please. From Webster's dead tree edition: n. unwillingness or inability to believe, doubt, skepticism.

Etymology: ME incredulite < OFr incrédulité < L incredulitas, see IN + credulity.

Related: incredible, incredulous.

This is incomprehensible. Can you believe that incredulous has not been through the process here? Unfathomable!

I therefore feel beholden to re-up this suggestion.
Life is like playing chess with chessmen who each have thoughts and feelings and motives of their own.
