prandial
This word is more useful than it would seem. Thank the ancient Romans for that. You may attach a prefix such as post or pre and allow your imagination to run wild. Being human we just can not have enough words for things and actions that cause us pleasure such as eating and sex. This one falls into the former category, although many a postprandial activity involves the latter.

Re: prandial
I like the prefix meta-. Is there a meta-prandial? If there were, what would it mean? Wait. Drat! Someone beat me to it. See http://hearthstrung.wordpress.com/2011/ ... ocabulary/

Re: prandial
I like "meta." Meta-prandial might mean an overview of all the day's meals and snacks. It's like zooming out to see the overall structure. Compare identities in trig. You simply cannot understand them until you zoom out to see they are representing overall pictures, so that a+b+c can be included or subsumed under the one letter x.
Meta reminds us that the medium IS the message, like building roads affects where people locate businesses and homes. Gerrymandering works that way, altering boundaries to count votes. I am often considering how to back up for a wider view of what's happening.

Re: prandial
While there are many prefixes available, my favorite is post.
"Postprandial constitutional" is such a great phrase.

Life is like playing chess with chessmen who each have thoughts and feelings and motives of their own.
