exalt, exaltation
This is from the Latin, literally for up high. Except for the latter being used in reference to the Exaltation of Jesus, this word is rarely used. Is this because we have so few events or people to exalt?

Probably because we have or pretend to have an egalitarian society. I remember reading of exalted rulers in Eastern lands and some societies.

It is dark at night, but the Sun will come up and then we can see.
