Arrogant

Postby call_copse » Tue Apr 21, 2015 7:46 am

I'm not arrogant enough to think I'm the first one to think of a treatment for this word, but I can see no evidence of it being done yet in my searching. It's surely a very primary coloured word if nothing else?

I can't parse that last sentence. Can you elucidate?

It is not a subtle or nuanced word to wield, was the intention I intended to convey. Bright red I'd say, rather than say pale salmon.

Well, I suppose one has to be a tad arrogant to arrogate something to oneself. Arrogate has crossed our path three times so far:

Here, here, and here.

Perhaps something in those and their commentaries will be of use?
Life is like playing chess with chessmen who each have thoughts and feelings and motives of their own.
