crassulent
This word started in Latin (and before) meaning "thick, solid, fat". This is an English twofer: crass and grease. It does not take much of an imagination to see how and why it obtained two seemingly unrelated words. But there's more: Latin's daughters all took this word and ran with it.

Re: crassulent
Great obsolete word! I have an idea on how to resurrect it, too. How's about all the crassulent budgets passed by US and State governments? No matter who's in charge, aren't they usually so filled with pork they must qualify?
