This affords me an opportunity to plug one of my favorite book series: Sister Fidelma, by Peter Tremayne. Mysteries set in 7th century Ireland. Very well written, great historical background, solid characters, well worth delving into if you're a fan of mysteries. I don't recall meeting this word there, but there are plenty of others to enjoy.
