Gaming Tyro Spelling?

I've seen both in crossword puzzles, and thought I'd run a poll for fun. Which version do you prefer? My vote goes to the second.

Of the two forms offered, I prefer the second. But for myself, and usually in other contexts, I will continue to spell it "newbie".
