it sounds like the kind of thinking I get from my doctor, he hears me say I want to find out the cause of something and eliminate it, [ here comes meaning 1-2] his ears are closed before I finish and he has his prescription pad out to get me addicted to drugs of his choice [the third meaning]

Women say this is the kind of thing they get from their husbands, auto-ignore.

This is a really good word. I wonder why it never made the grade, as they say. It was up for consideration, but flunked out somehow. Maybe we can resurrect it?
Life is like playing chess with chessmen who each have thoughts and feelings and motives of their own.
