Nice word, Grogie. Especially interesting as it has an extra meaning.

A fodient is a member of the fodientia, African digging beasties, including the aardvark. Also called edentate, these include sloths, armadillos, and the like.

Hard to eat corn on the cob if you're edentate, though. Not much fun there.
