It is actually culaccino(at least in Italian) and it is the penultimate syllable (ci) that takes the stress.

Welcome back, BD, and thanks for the clarification. I wonder why most sites list this word with just the one c?

Economic cutbacks have led to the elimination of double consonants in all languages. I fear that vowels are next.

And to think it was called progress when we went from
telegraph to telephone. Imagine talking to persons
first hand! Now we are back to using the fingers
and texting: regression??? Voice talk no longer popular.
